All loads operating about a few Watts require to be cooled using methods appropriate to the application and environment. Popular cooling methods are conduction (through the waveguide flange or on a mounting cold plate, natural and forced air convection, liquid cooling and those utilizing combined methods. All products are produced using highly controlled manufacturing processes and utilise materials suitable for the operating environment and can be customized to incorporate a variety of flange details. Designs are subjected to rigorous thermal and dynamic analysis and where appropriate, and within the limit of our in-house capability, can be tested at operational average RF powers at seas-level, under vacuum or at partial pressure conditions.
